Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of tutoring services by Wise Ed Learning. By booking tuition, you agree to these Terms.
-
Payment: Tuition is invoiced monthly in advance. Payment is due by the 30th of the preceding month and should be made via bank transfer. Sessions cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received. Payments are non-refundable except where a session is cancelled by the Tutor.
-
Cancellation and Absence: If you need to cancel a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible. Where sufficient notice is given and availability allows, a replacement session or credit towards the following month's tuition may be offered at the Tutor's discretion. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full. If the Tutor is unable to deliver a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the session will be rearranged where possible or credited to the following month's invoice.
-
Term Time: Weekly tuition takes place during West Yorkshire school term times. Holiday tuition, Wise Start programmes and booster sessions will be advertised separately.
-
Welcome Session: All new pupils begin with a Welcome Session before regular tuition starts. This session provides an opportunity for your child to become familiar with the learning environment while allowing the Tutor to gain an understanding of their strengths, areas for development and learning needs. This ensures future sessions are personalised from the outset.
-
Child Information: Parents and carers are responsible for providing accurate emergency contact details, relevant medical information, allergies and any SEND information or learning needs prior to tuition commencing. This information will be treated confidentially.
-
Safeguarding: The safety and wellbeing of every child is my highest priority. As a qualified teacher, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and follow current safeguarding guidance. If I have concerns regarding the welfare of a child, I have a professional duty to follow safeguarding procedures and, where appropriate, share information with the relevant agencies.
-
Collection: Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring children arrive promptly and are collected on time at the end of each session. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or carer outside of their booked tuition session.
-
Confidentiality and Data Protection: Wise Ed Learning is committed to protecting your personal information. All personal data is stored securely and processed in accordance with UK GDPR. Information will only be used for the purpose of providing tutoring services unless disclosure is required by law or safeguarding responsibilities.
-
Behaviour: Wise Ed Learning aims to provide a calm, respectful and positive learning environment. If a child's behaviour repeatedly places the safety, wellbeing or learning of themselves or others at risk, or prevents effective tuition from taking place, Wise Ed Learning reserves the right to withdraw services following discussion with parents or carers.
-
Progress and Outcomes: Every effort will be made to help children make excellent progress and grow in confidence. However, learning is influenced by many factors and Wise Ed Learning cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes, assessment results or examination grades.
-
Communication: I believe the best outcomes are achieved when tutors and parents work together. I aim to provide regular feedback on your child's progress and welcome open communication throughout their tutoring journey. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
-
Amendments: These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Parents and carers will be informed of any significant changes before they take effect.
-
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
-
Agreement: By booking tuition with Wise Ed Learning, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
